Working primarily in coloured pencil on paper, I create still life compositions that centre on close observation and perception. Familiar objects, glassware and plants form altars that are rendered with careful attention, while reflective surfaces introduce subtle distortions that shift the image away from stability.

I intend for my work to move between precision and dissolution. Edges hold and then soften. Reflections bend and fragment the objects they contain. Through this, the compositions resist a fixed point of focus, instead inviting a slower, more open mode of interaction. The drawings are time intensive, often developing over weeks. This sustained process shapes the surface of the work and the experience of encountering it.
